Responsible for initial
acquisition of the F27. Went to Amsterdam with Mike Henderson to
accept them on behalf of DA and the USAPT.
First man out the door on first jump (even though on static line).
I never claimed to be the Best SkyDiver in the team. I did however,
laid claim to being The Best Supply
Officer in the team. Even if Jim New (my successor) doesn't agree
with that!
Served in Army
30 years. After that I went to work for a Norwegian company called
Det Norske Veritas, USA (DNV). I started as an auditor and consultant
in safety and loss control management delivering services in English
and in Spanish. I loved that follow up to my military career. I
got to travel all over the Americas and a few places in Europe working
in all kinds of industry such as mines, auto makers, food processors,
beverage producers, pharmaceuticals and many many more. I retired
a little early due to health reasons. I have been officially retired
since October 2001.

The picture shows me being taken for an AFF jump
with two super stars in my book. Mike Sweeney and Andy Gerber. I
never claimed to be a skydiver but thanks to these two teammies,
Mike Mayo and a few other "volunteers" I got to punch
hole sin the sky about 15 times. That's all I needed.
