My Daughter Jennifer's flight school "family day." She and Amanda are in school at Fort Rucker to become Helicopter Pilots.

12 years in the Army. 77th Special Forces. Was one of the original seven members assigned to the STRAC parachute on special duty, then continued on the original USAPT when the STRAC Team got is own TO&E.

Participated on 25 world, day and night, accuracy records in Yuma AZ. and El Centro CA. in 1961 and 1962.

Was the first person to win the National Parachuting Championship for three consecutive years, 1961, 1962, 1963 and retired the National trophy. (Most wins in a 10 year period or 3 consecutive wins retired the trophy).

1960 U. S. Team competing in Sophia, Bulgaria. Won the Silver Medal for overall. Became the first parachutist to score a dead center landing in competition history.

Was U. S, Team Captain in 1962, 1963, & 1964

1962 U. S. Team competing in Orange Mass. Received three Bronze Medals for overall Team, Team accuracy and 1000 meter individual accuracy. More importantly, I was the team trainer for the first complete women's team who won the Gold for over all Team and individual.

1964 U. S. Team. Received the Silver Medal for individual accuracy and Overall Team. Received the Gold Medal for overall individual.

Was the 5th person, 1st American and and 1st Parachutist to receive the "Deplome Leonardo Di Vinci" from the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI). The highest award possible in parachuting.

Upon leaving the USAPT, I was awarded the Legion of Merit for my services.

Went directly to Flight School at Camp Wolters, TX. then to Ft. Rucker, Ala. Graduated 2nd in my class and was deployed to Vietnam where I flew Huey gunships receiving 26 air medals, two of which were with "V" devices.

Left the service in 1968 to become a Corporate pilot and retired from Mobil Oil Corp after 22+ years.
