I served 17 months on the USAPT on Airborne Status. My specific
functions on the team were many and varied;Administration Officer,
Finance Officer, Budget Officer,Supply Officer and the Show Narrator
when on the road.I left the Parachute Team in Nov. 69, to begin
my second one year tour in Vietnam. My first tour was with the 1sr
Air Cav Div. and my second tour was with the 101st Abn Div. In addition
I spent seven years in Germany and 6 months in the Dominican Republic.
Upon my return from Vietnam, I finished work on my Bachelors Degree
at Campbell Univ. and then became the Budget Officer for the 82nd
Abn Div until my retirement in Aug 1973.
After retiring from the Army as a CW4, I received my Masters of
Science Degree from N.C.State Univ. and my Doctorate in Adult Education
from Nova Southeastern Univ. in 1979. I taught Political Science
and Sociology for 23 years at Fay. Tech. Comm. Coll. as Dept Chairman
of the Social Science Dept., retiring to maintain the yard in 1998.
