Biographical Sketch

Mr. Sean Capogrego is an audio visual specialist serving his eighth year on the team and his second year as a civilian.

Capogreco enlisted into the Army in 1995 and served ten years as a graphic illustrator. While in the service he was primarily assigned to 3 rd Battalion 4 th Psychological Operations Group with whom he deployed to Bosnia for a total of 14 months.

After returning from the second tour in Bosnia Capogreco attended the challenging Golden Knight Assessment and Selection course and upon being ‘knighted’ he was assigned to Media Relations as the team’s catch-all freefall videographer. He was assigned to the Formation Freefall Team for the seasons of 2001-2002.

In 2002 his team won a Gold Medal with Capogreco filming the winning jump of the 2002 National Skydiving Championship, which was the most recent national Gold Medal for the Knights in 4-way formation freefall.

In 1987, while still a very young man, he learned to skydive and has since logged more than 5,820 freefall parachute jumps and 40 military static line jumps.

Not to be pigeonholed into just one interest or talent Capogreco is also very active in his side projects of metal casting, foundries, backyard engineering, model airplanes and computers. But mostly Capogreco enjoys camping and fishing with his wife.
